What You'll Need
- 2 cups of water
- 2/3 cups of milk
- 2 tablespoons of margarine*
What You'll Do:
- In a large skillet, combine rice, water and margarine or butter, bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat to low. Simmer 18 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in 2/3 cup milk and Special Seasonings. Increase heat to high. Boil for 1 to 2 more minutes stirring constantly; sauce will be creamy.
- Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 3 minutes. Stir well before serving.
High Altitude Directions:
Increase water to 2 cups.
*butter, or spread with no trans fat may be substituted
