Country Cheddar

Our Rice-A-RoniĀ® Country Cheddar flavor is a creamy mix of tender rice, tangy cheddar cheese and other natural flavors. This satisfying side dish is the perfect choice to serve alongside your family's favorite chicken, pork or beef recipes.

What You'll Need

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2/3 cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine*

What You'll Do:

  • In a large skillet, combine rice, water and margarine or butter, bring to a boil.
  • Cover, reduce heat to low. Simmer 18 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • Stir in 2/3 cup milk and Special Seasonings. Increase heat to high. Boil for 1 to 2 more minutes stirring constantly; sauce will be creamy.
  • Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 3 minutes. Stir well before serving.

High Altitude Directions:

Increase water to 2 cups.


*butter, or spread with no trans fat may be substituted
