Comfort food straight from the South! Your family will love this hearty recipe that is made with Rice-A-Roni Red Beans & Rice flavor.
What You'll Need
- 2 cups of water
- 1 tablespoons of margarine*
What You'll Do:
- In a medium saucepan, bring water, margarine or butter, rice-bean mix and Special Seasonings to a boil; reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Rice will be saucy. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
- For spicier Red Beans & Rice, sprinkle with dash of Tabasco® pepper sauce
High Altitude Directions:
Increase water to 2 1/4 cups and cook time to 25 to 30 minutes.
*butter, or spread with no trans fat may be substituted
